Mobile scanning of DMCs (DataMatrix codes) in production in order to obtain product and quality features on site. Every scan should deliver a result, even in a rough production environment, e.g. if the DMCs are contaminated by lubricants.
Target
Mobile scanning of DMCs (DataMatrix codes) in production in order to obtain product and quality features on site. Every scan should deliver a result, even in a rough production environment, e.g. if the DMCs are contaminated by lubricants.
Solution
By developing an iOS app, products can be scanned directly on site and requested on the web server using the REST interface. A filter can be set for each piece of information via the app, so that the desired product can be found quickly from a large batch of parts. The information displayed on the smartphone includes the
• Material number
• Serial number
• Machine number on which production was carried out
• Time stamp of manufacture
• Manufacturer number
• and whether the product is blocked.
The time saved is clearly measurable and the quality assurance of the products is guaranteed.
